Walking with Grace: Toadfish
Did you know South Carolina has a critical shortage of oyster shells? Americans consume an estimated 2.5 billion oysters each year, but only a fraction of that shell returns to our coastlines.
Toadfish is a conscientious South Carolina lifestyle brand that celebrates all the finer aspects of Lowcountry living. Through Toadfish's Put 'Em Back oyster recycling movement, they have been able to plant more than 150,342 square feet of oyster beds.
Walking with Grace: Randi Weinstein
Michelle Obama once said, “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”
Randi Weinstein inspires us daily with her strong feminist words, but Randi also walks the walk. This powerhouse lady is the founder of FAB, a series of educational and inspirational workshops created by women for women in the hospitality industry.
During FAB, some of the greatest forces in the hospitality industry come together for an honest, compassionate, and unfiltered meeting of the minds.
Walking with Grace: Daniella Motley
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “The earth laughs in flowers.” We wholeheartedly agree, and no one makes us smile like our friend Daniella Motley. Dani is the brilliant mind behind Salt + Stem, Charleston’s wandering flower truck.
Salt + Stem fills our studio with vibrant blooms and our hearts with joy. We're so grateful to Dani for joining us for this Walking with Grace profile. Pour some tea, kick off your shoes, and join us in wandering among the flowers.
Walking with Grace: Pure Luxe Bride
When it comes to weddings, we’re all about the details. Give us an arbor covered in fragrant blooms, centerpieces with trailing greenery, and stunning lounges on which to kick your heels back (or off, who are we kidding?) after dancing the night away.
Pure Luxe Bride, one of Charleston’s premier luxury wedding planning companies, never fails to take our breath away.
We are thrilled that they made time to join us for an interview. Grab your coffee (or champagne!) and scroll on down, brides-to-be, this one’s for you!
Walking with Grace: Jessica Rueger
Jessica Rueger is a self-mastery coach and wedding officiant based in Charleston. She helps her clients break existing patterns and harness their potential, and Jessica is a regular in our Flagship store, leading team-building exercises with our crew.
As we approach a new year, a refreshed perspective, and better, brighter days ahead, we’ve interviewed Jessica in the next installment of our Walking with Grace series.
Introducing the Mala Workshop
We are incredibly excited to share our newest endeavor with you all: the Mala Workshop.
Our best-selling Mala Necklaces are a team favorite because of their distinctive beauty, but also because we love the process of creating these intentional pieces.
The Mala Workshop centers around the meditative, intentional process of creating these works of art and the bonds of sisterhood and family. We look forward to you joining us!
Walking with Grace: Natalie Taylor
Bob Dylan once said, “The highest purpose of art is to inspire.”
This quote serves as a mantra for us and is a key part of the Grit & Grace manifesto. We are blessed to be surrounded by artists who inspire us daily, and Charleston artist Natalie Taylor is one of our great rays of sunshine.
Her ethereal murals and moving portraits are a mirror of the graceful and powerful woman behind the paintbrush. We are so honored to feature Natalie Taylor in today’s Walking with Grace interview.
Gratitude and Grace
Gratitude is an essential part of focusing our intentions at Grit & Grace Studio, and we have so much to be grateful for, both as a design house and as individuals.
As we open our hearts and prepare to share the Grit & Grace Mala Workshops with you, we want to offer up our gratitude and blessings for the rainbows and silver linings of 2020.

Walking with Grace: Jenny Block
It’s impossible not to be drawn to Jenny Block. Jenny approaches life with a blend of optimism, strength, whimsy, and grace that’s all her own. It’s part of what makes her a unicorn!
Her newest book, Be That Unicorn, is all about stepping into your own, finding your magic, and sharing your shine. For Jenny’s 50th birthday, we’re celebrating her sparkling, prancing journey.
Walking with Grace: Quiana Parler
There is so much to love about Quiana Parler, but what we love most is her voice. Today at Grit & Grace, we’re taking a moment to celebrate this remarkable artist and the power of her voice, both on and off the stage.
Walking with Grace: Clare Bowen
Here at Grit & Grace Studio, we’ve got some mega “girl crushes”, y’all. Not only are we a woman-owned and operated small business, but surrounding our team is an amazing community of inspiring ladies. Today we’re sharing one of our favorite artists, Clare Bowen.
